From a painstaking task of investigation of Gaudí’s geometry and a later comparison of it with nature, this exhibition emerges. It sets out to discover the roots of the organic architecture he used in his works, mainly in the last and greatest, the church of La Sagrada Família. To achieve that aim images are used to compare the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms, accompanied by objects, models and living plants which Gaudí studied and transferred to his architecture.
Location: Montserrat cloister / Nativity facade
With models and computer drawings, the exhibition explains the geometrical forms Gaudí incorporated into architecture when he worked for his last twelve years in the church workshop. There are virtual images of it and a replica of his desk. We can also see a reproduction of one of the classrooms from the Schools in Gaudí's time and delve into the world of his geometry through an educational video of his project.
